The Citadel's ASCE Student Chapter was recognized for their community service and effort on the Battery 2 Beach project when they received the 2010 ASCE South Carolina Section Award for 2010 based on their outstanding service during the past year.

The Citadel is a national winner of the Richard J. Scranton Outstanding Community Service Award, being named the No. 1 Student Chapter, selected from 25,000 students at 281 colleges & universities in North America
The Citadel is the winner of the ASCE Region 4 - Distinguished Chapter Award, being named the best chapter in 8-state region, including 38 colleges & universities.
The Citadel is a finalist for the ASCE National - Ridgeway Award, being named one of the top 7 Student Chapters, selected from 281 colleges and universities in North America.
At the ASCE Carolinas Conference held at North Carolina State University on April 14-16, 2011, The Citadel won the following awards:
