1. Individualized Instruction
Inspired by the Oxford model of tutorial instruction, Citadel Honors students have one-on-one teaching and advising with program faculty every semester. Individualized instruction allows faculty and students to identify personal and professional goals and develop pathways to achieve them.

2. Scholarship Opportunities
To support the commitment of Citadel Honors students, four-year scholarships are available to all students who are chosen for the program. You can learn more about the application and selection process here.

3. Priority Scheduling
Honors students are given greater flexibility in choosing general education strand courses which take advantage of their varied interests – all while receiving priority in developing their class schedules.

4. Leadership Development
The Corps of Cadets model of The Citadel means that cadet leaders have important roles in a student’s education in the barracks and beyond. Our success in shaping principled, well-rounded leaders in the Honors Program is epitomized by the majority of regimental and battalion cadet leadership positions being earned by Honors cadets.
