{"id":141,"date":"2022-07-18T12:15:53","date_gmt":"2022-07-18T16:15:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.citadel.edu\/student-affairs\/?page_id=141"},"modified":"2025-03-20T10:32:13","modified_gmt":"2025-03-20T14:32:13","slug":"campus-assessment-team-cat","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.citadel.edu\/student-affairs\/campus-assessment-team-cat\/","title":{"rendered":"Campus Assessment Team (CAT)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-our-mission\">Our Mission<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Campus Assessment Team (CAT) is a multidisciplinary team whose mission is to (1) make individualized and objective assessments of an applicant\u2019s or a student\u2019s ability to safely participate in The Citadel\u2019s program; (2) to detect patterns and trends in individual or group conduct; (3) provide consultation and support to faculty, staff, and administration in assisting students who display concerning or disruptive behaviors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who We Are<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The CAT is committed to addressing the concerns of our faculty, staff, and students, regarding the health and well-being of students that display imminent harm to themselves or others. We also address health concerns that may hinder a student from being able to comply with the requirements of The Citadel\u2019s program. We work together with professionals, staff, and families, to develop recommendations that are in the best interest of the student and The Citadel community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our team is comprised of individuals from departments across The Citadel campus.&nbsp; This includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Executive Director of Student Affairs and Academic Services (Chair)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assistant Commandant for Discipline<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Director of Advising<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Associate Director of Student Success Center (Manager, Students with Disabilities)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deputy Director of Public Safety<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>General Counsel of The Citadel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Admin\/Case Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you would like more Concern<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Faculty, staff, and students can voluntarily report \u201cred flag behaviors\u201d that may raise concern for potential incidents of inappropriate behavior at The Citadel.&nbsp; An incident, in this context, is an event that does not warrant immediate intervention<strong>.&nbsp; If there is an event that does warrant immediate intervention, please call Public Safety at 843.953.5114 or call 911. &nbsp;<\/strong>Wellness Check Referrals are addressed ASAP by our staff in the Student Affairs office.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Request a Wellness Check<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can request a Wellness Check by emailing Student Affairs at Studentaffairs@citadel.edu or calling 843.953.5155.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are located in Bond
