Fundraising is underway to transform the teaching laboratories in Duckett Hall.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Citadel asks for non-recurring funds to renovate the teaching laboratories in Duckett Hall. New and updated laboratories in biology will accommodate growth and foster recruitment and retention in STEM- and pre-health-related programs. Alumni support will provide state-of-the-art science laboratories<\/strong> that meet and exceed projected programmatic goals of the College (nursing, engineering, pre-health and general education). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • In 15 years BS Biology has grown 68%, and today serves 144 majors and 340 general education students<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Added pressure on existing spaces with reduced room for the movement<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Modern instructional methods are limited in current laboratories<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Limited integration of computer and information technology at the bench<\/li>\n\n\n\n
