The Citadel offers course for teachers on penning children’s books

The Lowcountry Writing Project at The Citadel will offer a three-graduate-hour course on writing children’s books for tri-county teachers at all grade levels and in all subject areas. 

Sessions will meet Wednesday evenings from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the following dates: Jan. 31; Feb. 3, 7, 28; March 3, 7, 21, 24, 28; and April 11. Local authors and publishers will share their stories and offer tips to help writers get started. Classes will also include time to read and discuss works in progress.

The Lowcountry Writing Project, an affiliate of the National Writing Project, provides professional development for public and private school teachers in all grade levels and all disciplines. Other workshops and courses are available throughout the year.
