Distinguish yourself amongst your peers as a member of one of the STEM Scholars Program.
The STEM Scholars Program is a cohort-based program for students with special interest and aptitude in science, mathematics or engineering. STEM scholars will pursue a bachelor’s degree in either the School of Science and Mathematics or the School of Engineering. In addition, STEM scholars will receive special benefits to help in their educational and career development, such as professional mentorship, STEM-related community service opportunities, faculty-guided research, study abroad activities, scholarships, and counseling/ guidance to obtain internships and jobs.
Students pursuing Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Health and Exercise Science, Mathematics, Nursing, and Physics majors are eligible for the School of Science and Mathematics scholarships.
Citadel Scholars are awarded to incoming freshmen based on their admission application, scores on standardized Board test, high school GPA and class rank. The Citadel’s Scholarship Committee will select students from the admissions pool to interview and award academic scholarships in each school.

The Citadel Scholar program is designed to allow the most talented applicants access to The Citadel’s unique educational opportunities. These programs look for outstanding academic achievement in high school and leadership potential in the Corps of Cadets. All applicants to The Citadel are considered for the merit portion of these awards, which range from $2.500 to $10,000. Candidates are selected by the Academic areas and notified by invitation to interview based on their projected area of interest. Additional need-based scholarships are offered to students based on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, (FAFSA). For consideration students should apply on line at www.fafsa.ed.gov any time after October 1st of each year.
Participants must maintain a 3.0 GPA
