Parents Weekend 2006

The Citadel will welcome hundreds of parents and visitors to campus in mid October for the annual Parents' Weekend celebration. It is the college's first major weekend of the academic year.

The Citadel will present 399 class rings to seniors, the largest group to receive their rings in recent years. The ring presenation takes place in Summerall Chapel with a simulcast in Buyer Auditorium in Mark Clark Hall.
A highlight of the weekend is the presentation of rings to the Class of 2007. New this year is the cancelation of the Friday afternoon military dress parade. That was done to give cadets and their families more free time together. The traditional Saturday morning parade in honor of parents will continue.

Parents' Weekend is Oct. 20-22 at The Citadel. Most activities are free and open to the public. Here's a complete schedule of events and links to additional information.

Since parking can sometimes be hard to find on and around campus, we recommend you wear comfortable shoes in case you have to walk to your destination.
