18th century online encyclopedia launched
Modern Languages Professor Guy Toubiana, in concert with Kevin Dodson at Lamar University, have launched an online encyclopedia of 18th century men and women contributed to the Enlightenment and the American or French revolutions.
The 18th Century Online Encyclopedia is an ongoing project that includes free information on philosophers, politicians, artists, theologians, writers and statesmen. It contains noteworthy people from Eastern and Western Europe and North America. Every entry has been written by university professors who are expert in their respective fields.
The encyclopedia is designed to be a tool for students, scholars, and interested members of the public alike, Toubiana said. Contributors come from the United States, England, Canada, France and Italy.
