Jeremy Bennett, PhD
Dr. Jeremy Bennett is the Director of Graduate and College Transfer Programs, and Assistant Professor for the Baker School of Business. Prior to joining The Citadel, he served as the Director of the MBA program at the University of North Georgia. While at UNG, Dr. Bennett created the UNG MBA Alumni Networking Group, doubled applicants and tripled enrollment. Under his leadership, the program went from unranked by U.S. News and World Report to the 5th public part-time program in Georgia and the 188th in the world.
Since Joining the Citadel in 2017, the graduate business program and college transfer programs have seen tremendous enrollment growth. The college transfer program has been named a Best of Online Undergraduate Program and the MBA program has been named a Best of Online Program and a Best of Part time Program by U.S. News and World Report.
He has served on the board of directors for the Alpharetta Chamber of Commerce, YMCA of Metro Atlanta, Greater Alpharetta Tech Network, Alpharetta Technology Commission, North Atlanta Football League and Cambridge High Feeder Program. He also served on the education and workforce development committees for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Bennett has served as a panelist #YPAMA (Young Professionals Ask Me Anything) and a judge for Pitch Breakfast Charleston. He currently serves on the board for the Greater Charleston YMCA, as a member of the of the Charleston Talent Advancement Cabinet and as a Business Advocacy Champion for the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce.
In 2020 Dr. Bennett was named a Charleston 40 under 40 award winner and was the recipient of the Faculty Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Graduate College at the Citadel. He is also coauthoring a textbook on Leadership and Public Policy that will be published in early 2021.
Dr. Bennett is also the founder of Facts Not Opinions, a research organization that “provides the unfiltered data behind the biggest issues facing the United States and the world. The data is not tampered with to reach a predetermined conclusion and does not have a political agenda.”
Dr. Bennett has a BA in Sociology from the University of Georgia and MBA, MS in Organizational Change and Ph.D. in Sociology from Georgia State University.
