Dr. Jeffrey Lyons

Dr. Jeffrey Lysons earned his Ph.D. in 2011 from Baylor University, Waco,Texas where he also earned his MS and BS in Mathematics. He has been a visiting Mathematics professor at Trinity University, San Antonio,Texas, and University of Hawai’i at Mānoa, Honolulu, Hawaii. He was an Assistant and Associate Professor at Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His teaching expertise ranges from College Algebra, Pre-calculus, Trigonometry and Calculus to Applied Engineering Math and Differential equations.
He was the recipient of Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching, Texas A&M University System for doing an excellent job in 2011. In addition, there have been several research awards to Dr. Lyons including travel grants that have taken him to 
Florida Gulf Coast University, Ft Myers, FL,  UNC-Greensboro, Greensboro, NC, 
Mississippi State University, Starkville, MS, and  10th AIMS Conference, Madrid, Spain.
Some of his publications include “An Application of the Layered Compression-Expansion Fixed Point Theorem to a Fractional Boundary Value Proble” (2019) in the Panamerican Mathematical Journal and “Two Point Fractional Boundary Value Problems with a Fractional Boundary Condition” (2018) in the Fractional Calculus and Applied Analysis. Also, some of his presentations include a virtual conference in 2020
