In memory of Kevin Manigault
1976 — 2017
Mr. Kevin Manigault, an admired member of The Citadel Facilities and Engineering Department, will be greatly missed. He joined the Citadel in 2008 as an equipment operator, eventually working his way up to assistant supervisor for the grounds shop. He possessed an abundance of skills and experience, and proved to be a fast learner who was always up for a challenge.
"Kevin Manigault was a great motivator and leader, willing to do whatever was needed, whether it was coming in at 0430 hours on commencement morning to make sure campus sparkled, or working all day on a football Saturday. His laughter was contagious and he had a gift for making people feel at ease," said Col. Tom Philipkosky, USAF (Ret.), senior vice president for operations and administration. "The Citadel is a better place because of Kevin and we are honored to have had the opportunity to know and work with such a great individual. His departure leaves a void we cannot replace."
