Citadel orders evacuation of cadets
The Citadel has ordered a mandatory evacuation of cadets effective at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Cadets may leave campus with other cadets if they have the permission of parents. Those cadets who live too far away or have other reasons for remaining on campus will be accommodated in Coward Hall, a secure facility, under the supervision of the commandant.
All classes on Monday and Tuesday (including CGPS classes) will be cancelled and will be made up at a later date.
Cadets now away from campus should not return until instructed to do so and should continuously monitor The Citadel's web site for further instructions.
All Citadel staff are expected to report on Monday as usual. Faculty are not expected to report on Monday or Tuesday.
Campus residents should follow directions issued by Charleston County Emergency Operations Center
