Graduate Assistantships
Working in the Department of History
Pres
ently, the History Department offers two full-time graduate assistantships and one part-time graduate assistantship each year. Full-time assistantships carry a stipend of $3,500 per semester and call for approximately 20 hours of work per week; whereas the part-time position pays a stipend of $1,750 and requires ten hours of work each week.

Final selection of our graduate assistants is made by The Citadel’s Director/Associate Director of Graduate Studies in History. These awards are made every spring for the following academic year. An application may be obtained in the Office of Graduate and Professional Studies at The Citadel or apply online.
