Dr. Christopher J. Sole, CSCS,*D

Dr. Sole is an Assistant Professor within the Department of Health and Human Performance. His primary research interests include athlete monitoring, biomechanical analysis of resistance training exercise, adaptation to strength and power training, and relationships between training, performance, and injury in athletes and military personnel. Prior to The Citadel, he earned a Ph.D. in Sport Physiology and Performance from East Tennessee State University (ETSU). While at ETSU, Dr. Sole worked as a sport scientist and strength and conditioning coach within the University’s Center of Excellence for Sport Science and Coach Education/U.S. Olympic Training Site. Dr. Sole has been a member of The Citadel faculty since 2015.
