Citadel approves dedicated program fees for 2015-16 academic year

The Citadel’s Board of Visitors approved assessing dedicated program fees for the Schools of Business and Engineering as a part of the recently approved 2015-2016 academic year budget.

The fees will be assessed to all full-time junior, senior, and fifth year cadets enrolled in majors offered by either school.  Full-time cadets are those taking 12 or more credit hours per semester.

These fees, commonly referred to as differential fees, are used to offset higher teaching costs, and specifically to recruit and retain faculty who are the best in their field, and who because of their discipline in engineering and business, may command a higher level of compensation. This investment enables the college to continue to offer some of the top engineering and business programs in the nation, thereby supporting the success and income potential of their graduates.
