Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani will deliver the commencement address to the South Carolina Corps of Cadets Class of 2007.

The Corps of Cadets will graduate at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 5 in McAlister Field House. Admission is by ticket only. Cadet Activities will distribute 10 tickets to each graduating cadet and active duty student starting April 16. The Corps of Cadets commencement is not open to the public. Giuliani was invited to speak to graduates and their families because of his leadership in the wake of the terrorist attacks on New York in September 2001.
In the days following the Sept. 11 terror attacks, which killed nearly 3,000 people in the collapse of the World Trade Center, Giuliani was lauded for his leadership. Former First Lady Nancy Reagan presented Giuliani with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Freedom Award. He also was knighted by the Queen of England and named Person of the Year by “Time” magazine. In 2002, he wrote and published, “Leadership,” which sold over 1 million copies worldwide.
In 2002 he founded Giuliani Partners, a consulting firm specializing in emergency preparedness, public safety, crisis management, energy, health care and investment banking.
