Blood drive in honor of '06, '07 grads injured in war

The Citadel will host the American Red Cross and the Armed Services Blood Program blood drives on Tuesday, April 15 in Mark Clark Hall.

This month's blood drive is in honor of Russ Kaufmann, Class of 2006, and Sam Given, Class of 2007. Both were injured while serving in the military. Kaufmann was deployed to Iraq while Given was deployed to Afghanistan. During their recovery their received blood given through donations.

While some of the donations to the American Red Cross go to the military, most go to the local community. All donations through the Armed Services Blood Program go to those serving in the military.

To donate blood on April 15, reservations are recommended. Click here to make and appointment and to receive priority placement in line.
