The Citadel\u2019s Department of Public Safety (PSAF) are dedicated law enforcement and safety professionals committed to campus security, making The Citadel a great place to learn, work and live. We provide law enforcement services, manage traffic and parking, oversee fire, industrial and environmental safety, and provide safety oversight for all activities on campus. PSAF\u2019s uniformed force are fully sworn South Carolina law officers, with arrest authority. We enforce the laws, ordnances, and regulations of South Carolina and The City of Charleston, and all Citadel safety policies. Citadel PSAF integrates with Local, State and Federal agencies as required, and is a key component of The Citadel\u2019s crisis management and emergency response planning and execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bulldog Alert is The Citadel\u2019s multifunctional campus safety communications software. It allows easy and instantaneous two-way communications in crisis or emergency situations. The current system is an evolution of our longtime Bulldog Alert mass-notification system. It consists of a free Mobile Application (available on Apple and Google App Stores), mass communications links via email, text and the Mobile Application, and a Desktop Application on all Citadel classroom and office computers. Current and new users of Bulldog Alert must download the Mobile Application for full functionality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
