NSLS comes to The Citadel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The National Society of Leadership and Success<\/a> is the largest and only accredited leadership honor society in the nation, and it is now at The Citadel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With more than 700 chapters and over 1.5 million members, NSLS has a flexible online curriculum that makes it a great fit for all students, especially those who are balancing full courseloads with families and full-time jobs. Serving as chapter advisors are Provost and Dean of the College Sally Selden along with Tracey Sigler, Ph.D.<\/a>, head of the Leadership Studies Department, and retired U.S. Marine Corps Col. Tom Clark<\/a>, executive director of the Krause Center for Leadership and Ethics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NSLS aligns with The Citadel\u2019s mission of teaching lifelong skills. Throughout the program, students hone valuable, in-demand skillsets that hiring managers specifically look for, including leadership, relationship-building, goal-setting and effective communication. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Foundations of Leadership program takes approximately nine hours or less to complete at the student\u2019s own pace. Here, they will get to experience Speaker Broadcasts, which bring high-profile leaders exclusively to members, including former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush, Dr. Bernice King, Mark Cuban and many others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the leadership training, members become part of a community of fellow leaders across the nation, where they\u2019ll network and make lifelong connections. On top of the skills they learn and connections they make, NSLS membership provides access to over $400,000 in scholarships each year, along with many partner discounts to help them save even more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After students complete the program, they become inducted members and gain access to even more benefits, including personalized letters of recommendation, an exclusive NSLS job board, additional scholarships, and opportunities for advanced leadership education, allowing them to earn credits as they learn to lead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
