Emm Named Department Head of Modern Languages<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures has announced that Amy Emm, Ph.D.<\/a>, associate professor and director of the German Program, will serve as its new department head beginning in July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emm is a professor of German with a strong record of service to The Citadel, its students and its faculty. She has contributed to the college in multiple leadership roles and currently serves as chair of the Faculty Senate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAmy brings a deep understanding of The Citadel and a strong commitment to academic excellence and shared governance,\u201d said Vicente Gomis-Izquierdo, who is serving as interim department head until Emm assumes the role. \u201cShe is well positioned to lead the department in supporting faculty, advancing teaching and serving students.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
