Moody scholars announced<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Baker School of Business is proud to announce 28 new recipients of the Moody Professional Development Grant<\/a>, bringing the total number of scholars to 46. These students are chosen for their academic excellence, leadership and commitment to professional growth and service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Established through a $1 million endowment from the late O.L. Moody in 2012, the program identifies high-potential students majoring in accounting, finance, management, marketing and business development, and supply chain management, providing financial support for activities that enhance career readiness. Since its inception, the grant has awarded more than $200,000 to help students gain meaningful professional experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Moody Professional Development Grant is a testament to our commitment to preparing students for dynamic professional careers,\u201d said Iordanis Karagiannidis, Ph.D., associate dean of the Baker School of Business. \u201cThis program offers opportunities for our students to develop critical skills, expand their networks, and gain exposure to experiences that shape their future success.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each recipient receives up to $1,000 annually for approved professional development opportunities such as conferences, internships, certifications, professional memberships, or study abroad. Eligibility is based on a minimum 3.0 GPA, active participation in professional organizations, service, and a personal essay outlining the student\u2019s goals and development plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Working closely with faculty mentors, the new 28 Moody Scholars will pursue experiences that align with their career ambitions, continuing the tradition of excellence established by the Moody endowment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
