Associate Professor of Health and Human Performance Sarah Imam<\/a>, M.D., attended the Medical and Health Humanities: Global Perspective 2025 conference at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar in Doha, Qatar. Imam spoke about The Citadel\u2019s educational strategies for prospective health professions students, emphasizing how the program incorporates empathy and humanity into health science programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere was a lot of interest in what we are doing at The Citadel,\u201d said Imam. \u201cI have been invited to a few different schools to help them design their programs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While there, Imam connected with global leaders in healthcare from several countries, including the United Kingdom, Austria, South Africa, Iraq, China and Russia. \u201cI learned so much about medical education and the development of clinically proficient and caring health professionals,\u201d said Imam.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
