One of the most important aspects of the NROTC The Citadel’s training program is the structure of the Navy Battalion. In addition to the classroom and field training instruction in which they partake, students are afforded the opportunity to experience first-hand the method by which the Navy operates on a daily basis. Battalion staff members face the challenging task of leading a group of their peers totaling over 100 Midshipmen and Officer Candidates. Through every level within the Batallion, the importance of the Chain of Command structure and accountability for both self and subordinates is underscored daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
