In 2024, he obtained his Ph.D. in German Literature from the University of Washington (Seattle). Before coming to The Citadel, Aaron was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Allegheny College (Meadville). His studies focus on modern Austrian literature, particularly authors and artists from the Slovenian and Yugoslav minorities. Aaron is also a literary translator.
