Joined The Citadel Faculty: August 2021<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. DeVoria earned his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University at Buffalo, where he studied rotating fins and flapping wings for biologically inspired propulsion technologies. Prior to joining The Citadel, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Florida, where he studied low-aspect-ratio wings for micro aerial vehicle applications, as well as multi-phase microfluidics and contact line dynamics. His current research interests involve the representation of non-conservative effects and forces in ideal fluid models. He is a member of the American Physical Society Division of Fluid Dynamics (ASP DFD) and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
