His research is in combinatorics, especially graphs and algebraically representable matroids. He is also interested in elementary number theory and enumerative combinatorics. Rigo likes working research projects with undergraduate and graduate students. His students have presented their research in local and national conferences and they have won awards doing the same. He is one of the founders of Carolina Math Seminar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-degrees\">Degrees<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Ph.D. in Mathematics \u2013 Binghamton University (SUNY)<br>\u2022 M.S. in Mathematics \u2013 Universidad Nacional de Colombia<br>\u2022 B.A. in Mathematics \u2013 Universidad de Antioquia Colombia<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-research-interests\">Research Interests:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>My research is in combinatorics, especially graphs, algebraically representable matroids, harmonic matroids and biased graph.
