Bio
Dr. Gayla Todd is a visiting professor and holds the Alvah H. Chapman, Jr. Chair in Management and Ethics. Gayla received her Doctor of Business Administration in 2020 after 29 years of business experience working globally for multiple software solution and technology companies. Her doctoral research was on the retention of women in STEM occupations. Gayla has experienced a dynamic career in various solution technology positions with NCR/Teradata, SAS, and Manthan including partner and alliance management, business development and strategy, sales, product management, product marketing, customer and data analytics expert, solution architect, and implementation consultant. Several years of her career were focused on helping Fortune 1000 companies optimize the relationship they have with their customers, and improving ROI, customer loyalty and retention. Gayla has global experience working in many countries throughout Europe and the Asia Pacific.
Mentoring others has been the most rewarding and fulfilling aspect of her 29-year career in business. Gayla moved from Raleigh, North Carolina to Charleston, SC in 2020 and looks forward to teaching and mentoring students in the Baker School of Business.
