This program is designed to enhance the ability of students from any academic background and level of professional experience to perform effectively as principled leaders in their present or future leadership roles. The program utilizes a holistic approach achieved through interdisciplinary and integrated courses to engage students in comprehensive learning about leadership in applied contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In keeping with The Citadel\u2019s mission of facilitating the development of principled leaders, all students are required to take and complete LDRS 500 Principled Leadership Seminar within their first two semesters.&nbsp;There is no charge for seminar participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Courses are taught completely online, and students should strategize with their Academic Advisor to create a completion plan that works for them, choosing to be enrolled part-time or full-time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Online leadership classes<\/strong>&nbsp;are taught using&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instructure.com\/canvas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Canvas<\/a>, an online course management system. Students will login to Canvas via&nbsp;My Citadel Portal. Students needing technical assistance may contact the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/kbox.nation.citadel.edu\/\">IT Helpdesk<\/a>. Students taking online classes are expected to have a&nbsp;reliable&nbsp;computer with&nbsp;internet access.&nbsp;Students will also need a webcam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-program-learning-outcomes\">Program Learning Outcomes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Evaluate foundational leadership theories and apply the theories in the practice of leadership.<br>2. Conduct leadership self-appraisal, reflecting on strengths and weaknesses and ways to improve.<br>3. Articulate a vision and create a change process that inspires stakeholders to attain shared goals. <br>4. Develop, apply, and evaluate theories that promote teamwork and collaboration in organizations.<br>5. Recognize ethical and moral issues, analyze situations using ethical approaches, and apply a principled approach in organizations.<br>6. Demonstrate intercultural competence, appreciating other cultural ideas, behaviors, and beliefs. <br>7.
