What is the online experience like (live lectures, etc.)?<\/summary>
\n

Some classes have optional live online lectures; most work is asynchronous. Since the classes are online, there are no set hours for class, allowing students to complete work at their pace. Lectures are also recorded and embedded in the course. Weekly discussion boards and video technology are utilized.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Does the online format provide the same quality education offered by a traditional campus?<\/summary>
\n

Absolutely, we use the exact same standards and every course is evaluated using an online parity matrix and approved prior to being taught. Online classes are taught by the same professors as in-person classes covering the same set curriculum.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Is it possible to work full-time while completing my degree?<\/summary>
\n

Yes, most of our students are working full time.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What is the time commitment for this program? How flexible is the schedule?<\/summary>
\n

This program admits on a rolling basis so students can apply and gain admission for the fall, spring and summer terms. Most students enroll in 6 credit hours (2 classes) each semester. Classes for this program are offered year-round and most students complete the program in 1.5 to 2 years.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

How many credits is the master\u2019s in project management?<\/summary>
\n

This program consists of a 30-credit hour curriculum.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What electives can I take?<\/summary>
\n

Students can complete electives in leadership, business and many other disciplines that offer courses online.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

How relevant is this course to the Project Management Professional (PMP) exam?<\/summary>
\n

Many of the courses built into the curriculum can prepare one to sit for the Project Management Professional (PMP) Exam and count towards the requirements to apply for it.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What is the pass rate for the PMP?<\/summary>
\n

95% of our students pass the exam on the first attempt.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

How is the program accredited?<\/summary>
\n

The Master in Project Management is accredited by the Global Accreditation Center (GAC), the world’s leading specialized accrediting body for project management. It is the only GAC accredited program in the State of South Carolina.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What are career prospects?<\/summary>
\n

While many of our students are full-time working professionals, the skills you will learn can be useful to in any industry such as IT, construction, government, non-profit, business and many more. The capstone project is built into the curriculum but allows you to choose what the main project will be allowing it to fit your interests.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Do I need to come from an engineering background?<\/summary>
\n

No, our students come from a myriad of undergraduate programs.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Do all the courses in the certificate count towards the masters?<\/summary>
\n

Yes, the certificate is comprised of the 4 core classes that are part of the masters.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Do I have to live a military lifestyle like the Corps of Cadets to participate in this program?<\/summary>
\n

No, this is a completely online program and you still work and live in your community while attending our classes. There are no uniform or physical fitness requirements. While we welcome those, who come from a military background, it is not required.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Does The Citadel accept transfer credits?<\/summary>
\n

Yes, students may transfer a maximum of 6 credit hours (2 courses) from an accredited college or university at the discretion of the department head.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

How large will my classes be?<\/summary>
\n

The typical class size is between 10-18 students.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What happens if I am suddenly deployed or need to take a leave of absence from a course or the entire program?<\/summary>
\n

We have many students who are deployed and take a break for a term. Most deployed students continue their studies, the online and asynchronous nature allows the program to be completed in your own time wherever you are in the world. Our institution works well with active duty, veterans and working professionals to do our best to meet your needs.\u00a0Students have 6 years from their first enrollment term to complete their degree.\u00a0 If students are deployed you can complete a \u201cLeave of Absence Request<\/a>\u201d form through the Citadel Registrar\u2019s Office.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Can online students participate in the graduation ceremony?<\/summary>
\n

Yes. all our students are invited to participate in commencement practices on The Citadel’s campus.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What credentials do the faculty have?<\/summary>
\n

Do I have to take the GMAT or GRE to be accepted into this program?<\/summary>
\n

This program does not require the submission of a test score for admission.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What materials do I need to submit with my application?<\/summary>
