The Citadel IT Department strongly recommends Dell computers for students due to our long-standing relationship with Dell\u2019s warranty support team. We advise purchasing a Dell laptop with a 4 year ProSupport Plus warranty<\/strong> to ensure your device remains in top working condition for all four years at The Citadel. This warranty provides excellent coverage, including accidental damage protection and next-business-day service, minimizing downtime and keeping you focused on your studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While students are allowed to bring other brands, Dell laptops are preferred due to our ability to quickly assist with troubleshooting and warranty claims. Chromebooks are not recommended<\/strong> as they lack compatibility with many required academic applications.
