Below are a list of tools that will allow Citadel employees to continue communications and maintain productivity when performing duties outside the office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-overview\">Overview<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Supervisors should coordinate with their employees on telework arrangements. While working remotely, employees should be available via telephone or email within reason during agreed work hours. Employees working remotely must notify their supervisor if they choose to submit leave instead of telework. Additionally, supervisors should articulate clear procedures regarding check-in times and availability. Supervisors must remain open to changes based on State guidance, college decisions, and the employee\u2019s unique situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-documenting-work-from-home-highly-encouraged\">Documenting Work From Home (Highly Encouraged)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Departments are highly encouraged to utilize the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.citadel.edu\/root\/images\/Information_Technology\/Weekly_Status_Report.doc\">Weekly Status Report form<\/a> to track work from home for their employees. All employees working from home should use the form to document their weekly activities. Completed forms should be forwarded to the employee\u2019s respective department head by COB on Fridays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-telecommuting-job-functions\">Telecommuting Job Functions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Checking\/responding to email communications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attending daily virtual meetings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Completing online training<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Document processing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Execution of other project-based work or relevant tasks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The following are communication tools that will assist employees during our time of remote campus instruction and operations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-accessing-voicemail-remotely\">Accessing Voicemail Remotely<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Department heads should confirm that employees know how to set up call forwarding and how to access their voicemail remotely. Employees should do the following as appropriate:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dial your direct number.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press \u201c**\u201d once your voicemail picks up.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press \u201c#\u201d to access voicemail.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter in your phone number including area code<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When prompted for password, enter your 7-digit voicemail password followed by the \u201c#\u201d key.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-call-forwarding\">Call Forwarding<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dial \u201c*108\u201d.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the tone, enter the destination number to which you would to forward your calls, followed by the \u201c#\u201d key.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To disable, dial \u201c#108\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-install-microsoft-365-on-your-personal-device\"><strong>Install Microsoft 365 on your Personal Device:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/web.citadel.edu\/root\/images\/Information_Technology\/Downloading_Office_365_Products.pdf\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.citadel.edu\/workfromhome\/images\/0365.jpg\" alt=\"Office 365 Logo\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/web.citadel.edu\/root\/images\/Information_Technology\/Downloading_Office_365_Products.pdf\">Microsoft Office 365 Install Guide<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-virtual-staff-meetings-or-course-instruction\">Virtual Staff Meetings or Course Instruction<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Determine which platforms you will use to communicate as a team or class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Each Vice President has a conference call system available.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For course instruction, information on CitLearn\/Zoom, tips for teaching online, and other faculty frequently asked questions, please visit: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citadel.edu\/root\/ceitl-faculty-teaching\">https:\/\/www.citadel.edu\/root\/ceitl-faculty-teaching<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-use-microsoft-teams\">How to Use Microsoft Teams<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.citadel.edu\/workfromhome\/images\/teams.png\" alt=\"Microsoft Teams Logo\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoftteams\/enduser-training\">End User Training for Microsoft Teams<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-sharing-documents\">Sharing Documents<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>OneDrive is available through Microsoft Office and provides file sharing and other capabilities for your team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Microsoft Teams is available through Microsoft Outlook for you and your teams to share information and chat virtually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-vpn-and-computer-protection\">VPN and Computer Protection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.citadel.edu\/workfromhome\/GlobalProtect64.msi\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.citadel.edu\/workfromhome\/images\/gp.png\" alt=\"VPN and GlobalProtect Logo\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Faculty and staff who need access to campus-restricted applications can contact the Help Desk at helpdesk@citadel.edu to request VPN client installation on their Citadel-issued computer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-it-help-resources\">IT Help Resources<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you have general IT questions, you can call the IT helpdesk at 953-HELP or email <a href=\"mailto:helpdesk@citadel.edu\">helpdesk@citadel.edu<\/a> and someone will contact you.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For Remote Assistance, please follow this link to have ITS remotely connect to your computer &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/get.teamviewer.com\/thecitadel\">https:\/\/get.teamviewer.com\/thecitadel<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Guides for working remotely ITS and HR have developed the following guides for our faculty and staff to facilitate working remotely.
