George Friedman, Ph.D.
Geopolitical Futures<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Dr. George Friedman is the Founder and Chairman of Geopolitical Futures, a company dedicated to forecasting the course of the international system (www.geopoliticalfutures.com). Friedman is an internationally recognized strategist on global affairs whose background includes military modeling, intelligence, geopolitics, and political philosophy. He has briefed numerous military and government organizations and has been referred to as the creator of the field of geopolitical forecasting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Friedman is a New York Times best selling author.  His most recent book, THE STORM BEFORE THE CALM: America\u2019s Discord, The Coming Crisis of the 2020s and the Triumph Beyond (2020)<\/em>, focuses on the United States, predicting how the 2020s will bring dramatic upheaval and a reshaping of American government, foreign policy, economics, and culture. His other bestselling books include The Next 100 Years: A Forecast for the 21st<\/sup> Century (2009), <\/em> Flashpoints: The Emerging Crisis in Europe(2015),<\/em> The Next Decade (2011),<\/em> America’s Secret War(2004), The Future of War(1996) <\/em>and The Intelligence Edge(1997).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to founding Geopolitical Futures in 2015, Friedman was Chairman of Stratfor, the geopolitical intelligence publishing and consulting firm he founded in 1996. Friedman received his bachelor\u2019s degree from the City College of the City University of New York and holds a Ph.D. in government from Cornell University.
