We have designed The Citadel\u2019s Master of Arts in Applied History<\/strong> to meet the diverse professional development needs of historians, educators and history enthusiasts nationwide. This fully online, synchronous program offers a unique way for students with a passion for history at all stages of their careers to learn and apply historical knowledge to personal and professional projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The online M.A. in Applied History program at The Citadel offers dynamic classroom instruction and interaction online. The program requires 33 credit hours<\/strong>, divided into core courses, electives and a research project. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Applied History, M.A. Program Objectives<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The M.A. in Applied History equips students with the skills to practice history in a wide range of fields, from museum curation and teaching to business, tourism, social media and historical interpretation.
