As a cadet-student-athlete and Volleyball Corps Captain, she has learned firsthand that \u201cit takes grit\u201d to meet the challenges The Citadel presents in daily life. The school\u2019s rigorous environment and culture of accountability have taught her to push beyond her limits, embrace discomfort, and stay focused under pressure. These experiences have shaped her ability to face obstacles head-on, persist with determination, and lead&nbsp;by example&nbsp;which are skills that prepare her not only for success at The Citadel but for the challenges of life beyond.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-citadel\">The Citadel<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are about 2,400 undergraduate students who make up the <strong>South Carolina Corps of Cadets<\/strong>. <strong>82%<\/strong> of Cadets receive financial aid, and over <strong>88%<\/strong> are employed at the time of graduation. Students can choose from <strong>over<\/strong> <strong>30 Majors<\/strong>, <strong>50 Minors<\/strong> in five academic schools, with an accelerated medical program.
