For the first time, EIGHT Citadel cadets will be playing with the CofC Orchestra and be a part of this incredible performance. Their performance, together with performances by the Charleston Symphony and Charleston Symphony Youth Orchestra, will be a memorable event on a national level.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the direction of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/charleston.edu\/music\/faculty\/bekker-yuriy.php\">Yuriy Bekker<\/a>, conductor of the College\u2019s orchestra, these artistic powerhouses will pay tribute to Charleston\u2019s exceptional musical legacy and connections to New York City.\u00a0The CofC\/Citadel ensemble will play Anton\u00edn\u202fDvo\u0159\u00e1k\u2019s\u00a0<em>New World Symphony<\/em>\u00a0<em>Finale<\/em>, which premiered at Carnegie Hall in 1893; Professor of Music\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/charleston.edu\/music\/faculty\/vassilandonakis-yiorgos.php\">Yiorgos Vassilandonakis<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0<em>Corsaro,<\/em>\u00a0which will have its New York premiere; and\u00a0former CofC music professor\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.trevorweston.com\/\">Trevor Weston<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0<em>Subwaves<\/em>. CofC Music Professor\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/charleston.edu\/music\/faculty\/hart-edward.php\">Edward Hart<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0<em>A Charleston Concerto<\/em>, will be performed by the Charleston Symphony.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.carnegiehall.org\/Calendar\/2025\/02\/26\/A-Charleston-Celebration-0800PM\">Purchase concert tickets<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.carnegiehall.org\/Calendar\/2025\/02\/26\/A-Charleston-Celebration-0800PM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/em> for the Carnegie Hall Concert.
