Students who don\u2019t traditionally study abroad and less common destinations for study abroad are encouraged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-british-marshall-scholarship\">British Marshall Scholarship<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Supports 2 years of study in any discipline at a university in the U.K., leading to the award of a British University degree. Highly competitive.\u00a0This fellowship has a campus deadline. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-mitchell-scholarship-program-paused\">Mitchell Scholarship &#8211; PROGRAM PAUSED<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>12 Scholarships awarded annually to U.S. citizens. Supports 1 year of graduate study at a university in Ireland for future American leaders. Goal is to promote understanding of the island from which 44 million Americans claim descent.\u00a0This fellowship has a campus deadline. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-knight-hennessy-scholarship\">Knight-Hennessy Scholarship<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Awarded to one hundred high-achieving students from around the world with demonstrated leadership and civic commitment. Provides full funding to pursue a wide-ranging, full-time graduate education at Stanford, with the goal of developing a new generation of global leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-fulbright-us-student-grants\">Fulbright US Student Grants<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Supports graduate study, research, or teaching in any of over 155 countries, with the goal of promoting cross-cultural interaction and mutual understanding. Open to U.S. citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-goldwater-scholarship\">Goldwater Scholarship<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Supports 1-2 years of undergraduate study for students who intend careers in mathematics, natural sciences, or engineering.\u00a0This fellowship has a campus deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-carnegie-junior-fellowship\">Carnegie Junior Fellowship<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants in the Junior Fellows Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace fellows work as research assistants to the Endowment\u2019s senior associates. Positions are paid, full-time positions for one year, with a full benefits package. This fellowship has a campus deadline. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-gates-cambridge-scholarship\">Gates Cambridge Scholarship<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Supports 1-4 years of study at Cambridge University. Goal is to create future leaders who will address global problems related to health, equity, technology, and learning. U.S. and non-U.S. citizens are eligible, though deadlines vary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-truman-scholarship\">Truman Scholarship<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Supports 1 or more years of graduate study in U.S. or abroad for students planning a career in public service; scholars apply and are accepted as juniors.\u00a0This scholarship has a campus deadline. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-james-madison-fellowship\">James Madison Fellowship<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Supports 2 years of graduate study towards a master\u2019s degree concentrating on American history or government; for students who teach or plan to teach about the U.S. Constitution in secondary school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-udall-scholarship\">Udall Scholarship<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>One-year undergraduate scholarship for students who intend careers related to the environment; and for Native American and Alaska Native students who intend careers in health care or tribal public policy. This scholarship has a campus deadline. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-soros-fellowship\">Soros Fellowship<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Students must qualify as new Americans to apply. 30 scholarships awarded nationally. Supports up to two years of graduate study in any professional field or scholarly discipline; applicants must be new Americans \u2014 resident alien with green card, naturalized U.S. citizen, child of at least one naturalized citizen. Selection criteria emphasize creativity, originality, initiative, and sustained accomplishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-woodrow-wilson-fellowship\">Woodrow Wilson Fellowship<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>$30,000 stipend to support pursuit of master\u2019s in teaching; mentoring and training for secondary school teaching in STEM subjects.
