She has a B.A. in Criminology from the University of South Carolina, an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Florida State University. At The Citadel, she has taught numerous courses including: Introduction to Criminal Justice, Corrections, Human Trafficking, and the Criminal Justice Capstone, among others. She is also the Director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citadel.edu\/criminaljustice\/internship-program\/\">Criminal Justice Internship Program<\/a>, where she helps students find internships and receive academic credit for their experiential learning experiences. Her research interests are: human trafficking, prisoner re-entry, prison-based rehabilitation programs, program evaluation, quantitative statistics, and research methods. She has experience managing large datasets, statistical analyses and supervising large-scale, mixed methods research projects and evaluation studies. Her work can be seen in the <em>Journal of Human Trafficking<\/em>, the <em>Journal of Offender Rehabilitation<\/em>, <em>Corrections: Policy, Practice and Research<\/em>, the <em>Prison Journal<\/em>, and <em>Police, Practice, Policy and Research: An International Journal<\/em>, among others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Hill is also the Co-Chair of the Research and Data Subcommittee for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tricountyhttf.org\/\">Tri-County Human Trafficking Task Force<\/a>. In this role, she has helped develop and evaluate human trafficking trainings for local law enforcement, compiled and analyzed local law enforcement and National Human Trafficking Hotline data to determine the frequency and prevalence of human trafficking in the tri-county area, and evaluated the effectiveness of services provided to human trafficking survivors. She has been the researcher on numerous grants awarded to the Tri-County Human Trafficking Task Force, including two Department of Justice grants and most recently, a 5-year Howard G.
