WELCOME TO THE CADET SPONSOR PROGRAM.<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We appreciate your interest in taking part in the Cadet Sponsor Program. Our program is intended to improve cadets\u2019 quality of life by providing our international and out-of-state cadets a means to connect with vetted, local, volunteer families that will provide them with a place to go to during times of general leave maybe furlough.  Sponsors provide a \u201chome away from home\u201d for our international and out-of-state cadets.  Most of the cadets requesting sponsors will be first year cadets (freshmen) but international students from all classes may also request sponsors.  Those cadets who live the greatest distance from The Citadel are given priority. Cadets with unique challenges may be considered to take part in the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LOCALS INTERESTED IN SPONSORING<\/mark><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for your interest in potentially sponsoring cadets.  As a sponsor you are \u201cadopting\u201d cadets and coaching them through their Citadel career.  This is an opportunity to give back to a young person far from home, introduce them to Charleston and teach them about life. Please read the *Application Instructions<\/em> thoroughly and complete each section in the space provided.  This application will be evaluated for the current academic year.  Sponsors must be at least 35 years old and live within the tri-county area to be considered. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
