She teaches an instrumental analysis course for junior chemistry majors, and she enjoys teaching introductory chemistry lectures and labs to students from all majors. Dr. Adair\u2019s research interests are varied with a central focus on metals. Dr. Adair develops methods to quantify metals in environmental and biological samples. She then studies metal distributions in the environment and wildlife. Recent student projects examined the accumulation of metals in different organs of fish collected along the Ashley River. She is also interested in exploring metals associated with micro plastics found along coasts. Do the metals adhere to and accumulate during polymer degradation?
