Our majors use math, theory, experimentation, critical thinking and analytical skills to study matter. A degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry will prepare you for a career in a wide range of fields, both traditional and non-traditional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Citadel Chemistry Department offers a fully accredited Bachelors of Science degree in both Chemistry and Biochemistry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additionally, the department offers a Bachelors of Arts degree as well as an Environmental &amp; Clinical track.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These degree tracks are approved by the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education. This rigorous option is highly valued by both employers and graduate schools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All seniors have the opportunity to participate in a yearlong independent research project with a faculty mentor.
