{"id":83,"date":"2021-11-29T11:12:53","date_gmt":"2021-11-29T16:12:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.citadel.edu\/ceitl\/?page_id=83"},"modified":"2026-07-14T08:16:29","modified_gmt":"2026-07-14T12:16:29","slug":"continuity-of-instruction","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.citadel.edu\/ceitl\/continuity-of-instruction\/","title":{"rendered":"Continuity of Instruction"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Citadel is committed to the Continuity of Instruction in the event of an emergency disruption that may result in the suspension of all activities and classes on campus. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citadel.edu\/ceitl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/54\/Continuity-of-Instruction-Plan-Updated-July-2026.pdf\" id=\"https:\/\/www.citadel.edu\/ceitl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/54\/Continuity-of-Instruction-Plan-Updated-July-2026.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Citadel Continuity of Instruction Plan (COIP)<\/a> is the continuation of education in the event of a prolonged campus closure. This plan promotes the continuation of teaching and learning despite circumstances that interrupt face-to-face classes on campus, as well as the ability for professors to provide online instruction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For assistance with the LMS and Instructional Support for teaching online, contact the Center for Excellence and Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CEITL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-preparedness\"><strong>Preparedness<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Preparedness is the key when coping with a disaster and\/or emergency that, by nature, is unpredictable. To ensure academic continuity, we recommend that faculty and staff perform the following preparedness activities recommended in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.citadel.edu\/ceitl\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/54\/Continuity-of-Instruction-Plan-Updated-July-2026.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Citadel Continuity of Instruction Plan (COIP).<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Citadel is committed to the Continuity of Instruction in the event of an emergency disruption that may result in the suspension of all activities and classes on campus.
