Her research utilizes a unique Xenopus laevis model system to explore different mechanisms of chromatin biology including transcription, replication, and repair. Specifically, Dr. Quaas studies how these mechanisms may go awry in relation to diseases such as cancer. Dr. Quaas\u2019 research also explores the presence of mutagenic compounds in local waterway systems and their effects on DNA-templated processes.
