This research explores the impacts of environmental conditions on physiological performance. Dr. Moran studies these relationships in fishes which are the most specious group of vertebrates on earth (~35,000). Specifically, he focuses on swimming, feeding and muscle performance. This research requires a combination of laboratory and field work to answer questions that have management implications. Dr. Moran will also teach Ecophysiology, Ichthyology, Fisheries Management, General Biology and Anatomy and Physiology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-degrees\">Degrees<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>PhD. in Biology \u2013 Northern Arizona University<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>M.S. in Marine Science \u2013 Moss Landing Marine Laboratories<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>B.A. in Biology \u2013 Willamette University<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Moran is an assistant professor of physiology, with research interests focusing on ecophysiology.
