At The Citadel, students are encouraged to explore how AI can expand learning, creativity and leadership. The opportunities below provide guidance, coursework and real-world experience to help you apply AI responsibly and effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-student-guide-to-artificial-intelligence-ai-u-2025\">Student Guide to Artificial Intelligence (AI-U 2025)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Student Guide to Artificial Intelligence (AI-U 2025)<\/strong> is part of the national <em>Student Guide to AI<\/em> series, produced by Elon University and the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&amp;U).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This resource introduces the foundations of artificial intelligence and connects them to The Citadel\u2019s mission of developing principled leaders who use emerging technologies ethically and with purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The guide empowers Citadel students to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Understand how AI is transforming learning and work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use AI tools responsibly and transparently.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop skills that strengthen critical thinking, communication and innovation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engage with questions of ethics, bias and the societal impact of technology.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button has-custom-width wp-block-button__width-100\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.citadel.edu\/ai-development\/teaching-learning\/student-guide-2\/\">View the Student Guide to Artificial Intelligence (AI-U 2025)<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-artificial-intelligence-amp-machine-learning-minor\">Artificial Intelligence &amp; Machine Learning Minor<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Artificial Intelligence &amp; Machine Learning Minor<\/strong> for cadets at The Citadel prepares students to design, implement and evaluate intelligent systems across a wide range of industries. The Artificial Intelligence &amp; Machine Learning minor gives students a grounding in the fundamental concepts underlying modern AI &amp; ML approaches and systems. It covers both the mathematical background as well as programming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Upon completing the minor in AL &amp; ML, students will be able to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop AL &amp; ML approaches for complex real-world problems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use a broad range of AL &amp; ML tools, techniques, and algorithms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply AL &amp; ML tools in an ethical and socially responsible manner, with an awareness of biases that can result from their indiscriminate use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communicate results of complex analyses using appropriate visualization techniques.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be well versed with the Python programming language and all the key packages for AI and ML such as NumPy, pandas, Scikit-Learn, SciPy, MatplotLib, Tensorflow, Keras, spaCy, NLTK, Gensim, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button has-custom-width wp-block-button__width-100\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/catalog.citadel.edu\/preview_program.php?catoid=19&amp;poid=1267&amp;returnto=562\">Minor Information and Details<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Learn, Create and Lead with Artificial Intelligence Artificial intelligence is reshaping every field, from business and education to science, communication and the arts.
