Captain Atisha King serves as Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies and Assistant Operations Officer, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment 765, The Citadel, in Charleston, South Carolina. As Assistant Operations Officer, she is responsible for overseeing the completion of all instruction-related activities for one of the largest detachments in the Department of the Air Force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Captain King enlisted in the Air Force in March 2011. She earned her bachelor\u2019s degree from the College of Charleston and commissioned through Officer Training School in June 2016. Her career path has included assignments as an Aerospace Medical Services Craftsman, Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles Operator, and Force Support Officer. She was the G-Series Section Commander for the 34th Intelligence Squadron at Ft. George G. Meade Army Base, where she oversaw education, training, and readiness requirements for all assigned Air and Space Force service members. Prior to her current position, Captain King was the Military Personnel Flight Commander, 11th Force Support Squadron, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
