"Using Digital Cameras in the Classroom"

      "The Basics of Digital Imaging in the Classroom" is open to all K-12 teachers. The two-part workshop will be Tuesday, September 12, from 4:30-6:30 and Saturday, September 16, from 9:00-1:00 at The Citadel. Participants will learn the basics of digital imaging in general and digital photography in particular, how to use digital images in print documents and PowerPoint presentations, and how to use digital technology to encourage student writing.

Registration is $300. Each participant will receive a certificate for six hours of instruction applicable toward the state's technology proviso, plus a Sony Mavica digital camera.

Sessions will meet in Bond Hall Room 256 at The Citadel. Registrations will be accepted until the workshop fills; class size is limited to 12. For more information, contact Tom Thompson at 843-953-1418.
