Short Fiction

Note: This is an ADVANCED Institute, so you should have some experience writing fiction.



A native of Colorado, Dr. Michael Livingston holds degrees in History, Medieval Studies, and English. In his academic life he has published articles on Tolkien and Joyce, discovered European maps of America that pre-date Columbus, and has completed his third book, an edition of The Middle English Metrical Paraphrase of the Old Testament. In his fiction life he is a winner of the prestigious international Writers of the Future Contest and has published in a variety of genres and venues. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of English at The Citadel, is Associate Editor of the TEAMS Secular Commentary Series, and holds a position on the Advisory Board of the TEAMS Middle English Texts Series.

The fee for the Fall Institute is $300 for course credit. Class size is limited to 12 so register early! A waiting list will be created after 12 participants register.
