Charleston County Awards $3.5 Million Grant to Johnson Hagood Stadium
(23 MAY) (View Article) The Charleston County Council has approved a grant to The Citadel to provide $3.5 million over ten years from the county accommodations tax revenue. This contribution will help retire a portion of The Citadel’s debt on the $42 million Johnson Hagood Stadium renovation, a project that is anticipated to have a significant economic and tax benefit for the county.

Raytheon Establishes Scholars Program with $500,000 Gift

This endowed fund will provide engineering, science, and mathematics scholarships for female and minority students at The Citadel.

Campaign for The Citadel Raises Over $107 Million!
(14 MAR) The Citadel Foundation has successfully concluded its six-year, $100 million Campaign for The Citadel, exceeding the ambitious goal with a final tally of $107,336,415.
A celebration of the campaign's success was held for key donors, campaign volunteers, and invited guests at Johnson Hagood Stadium on Saturday, March 15. The date for the event was chosen to honor The Citadel's annual Corps Day celebration, marking the 165th birthday of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets.
With over 600 guests in attendance, the "Uptown Oyster Roast" recognized the tremendous support and dedication of our major campaign donors, key volunteers, and leaders of the college and the Corps. Click the links to view photos of the event or a brief video recap.
