Alicia Lopez Floyd – HR/Strategy and Integration Team/Education Relations
Alicia Lopez-Floyd serves Boeing South Carolina in a site-wide Employee Development Specialist role. She is a career advisor and educational mentor for employees and managers starting on Day 1 onboarding through professional and leadership development.
Ms. Lopez-Floyd earned Dual Bachelors of Arts and Science in Psychology and Business Management from Erskine College in 2006. While completing her Masters in Business Administration from the CGC, Ms. Floyd was recognized as the MBA Student of the Year for 2009. Recently, she started pursuit of a second Masters degree from the CGC, this time in Project Management, in addition to seeking a Technical Project Management Certificate. She is co-author of an article entitled, “Mentoring: Creating an Association to Develop Careers,” published in the Journal of Innovative Education Strategies.
Ms. Lopez-Floyd began her career with Boeing as part of the Regulatory Quality Systems Oversight Team in July of 2011. Since then she has become a subject matter expert for various Boeing processes as well as a key resource for leadership. She has been involved with Leadership Training as Lead Facilitator.
Ms. Lopez-Floyd currently holds the roles of Regional Co-Chairman for Boeing South Carolinas REACH Leadership program, Vice President for the Boeing Women of Leadership Executive Board, and Boeing Citadel Alumni Group Executive Deputy Focal.
Ms. Lopez-Floyd’s community involvement is extensive, as she is passionate about non-profits and the work they do. She hosts an annual “Sip n See” Christmas Charity event and supports a number of community organizations including Eagle Harbor Boys Ranch, Charleston Miracle League, Race for the Cure, & SCORE.
Outside of Boeing, she is happily married to Tristan Floyd and they have a handsome three year old son named Ellis. They own Floyd Fence, LLC (www.floydfence.com) together. Their company was nominated as 2010 SCORE Business of the Year. As a family, they enjoy their boating life including but not limited to wakeboarding, plantation cruises, and island picnics.
