Oklahoma Congressman Tom Cole to speak at The Citadel
Oklahoma Congressman Tom Cole will discuss the status of the Republican Party during an appearance at The Citadel at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 19. in Bond Hall, room 165.
Cole became Oklahoma’s 4th Congressional District Representative in 2002. His lecture is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice.
Cole earned his B.A. degree in history from Grinnell College in 1971. His postgraduate degrees, both in British history, include a M.A. from Yale University in 1974 and a Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma in 1984. He has taught history and politics at several colleges including University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma Baptist University.
Cole was selected as a Thomas Watson Fellow and a Fulbright Fellow at the University of London. He currently serves on the national board of the Fulbright Association.
Cole is a founding partner and past president of CHS & Associates, a nationally recognized consulting and survey research firm based in Oklahoma City.
